La République arabe d’Égypte est située au nord -est du continent africain. Elle est bordée au nord par la mer Méditerranée avec un littoral de 995 km. Elle est bordée à l’est par la mer Rouge avec un littoral de 194 km. Il est bordé au nord-est par la Palestine et Israël, à l’ouest par la Libye et au sud par le Soudan.
