COMESA Secretariat in collaboration with the Zambian Government and international Civil Society Organisations successfully held the second Intergenerational Dialogue Forum in Lusaka from 16 – 18 October 2023 were young people engaged with the older generation including policy makers, diplomats, COMESA elders and politicians and discussed issues of peace and security as a catalyst to the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The highly interactive forum brought out critical points and possible solutions on what should be done to enhance peace and security and the inclusion of young people as Africa pushes towards the AfCFTA.
Partners to the conference included the National Development Youth Council of Zambia, Save the Children, Horn of Africa Youth Network, ACCORD, Institute of Security Studies and EPUKA UGAIDI.
