Workshop on Environment and Climate Change Statistics for the African Development Fund Countries

Media representatives are invited to a Workshop on Environment and Climate Change Statistics for the African Development Fund Countries opening Monday 28 November in Nairobi, Kenya.

More than 60 public sector experts on environment and climate change statistics from 37 African Development Fund (ADF) countries in Africa will participate in the in-person workshop.

The regional environment workshop has been organized to:

  • Build capacity in Member States for developing environment and climate change statistics
  • Help participants understand the Framework for Development of Environment Statistics (FDES) and the climate change statistics
  • Demonstrate to participants the use of Environment and climate change statistics self-assessment tools
  • Help participants understand the Framework for Development of Environment Statistics (FDES) and the climate change statistics
  • Demonstrate the current work on environment and climate change statistics

The workshop will comprise expert sessions and peer-to-peer learning sessions through country presentations on Environment and climate change statistics.

When: Monday, 28 November to Thursday, 1 December 2022, 8:30 am – 4:30pm each day
